We just wanted to get something straight; we are not environmental crusaders we just want to do our bit. It's not about getting up on our soap box and trying to educate, it's about giving the consumer an ethical alternative. Much as we like trees, we have lots more to do with our time than get splinters hugging them.

Primarily the Wildcard exhibition system has been designed to tackle the growing problem of waste and waste mismanagement within the exhibition industry. It's not necessarily the amount of waste that is deemed to be the problem but the lack of recyclable materials used by contractors. Although the majority of exhibition venues are starting to tackle the problem by developing links with local recycling facilities, nobody seems to be facing up to the issue at source.

A move away from traditional materials has to be the only solution. We also felt the existing low cost exhibition solutions currently offered to exhibitors did not represent good value for money.
